- Ruins - Tulum is located 100 Kms South of Puerto Morelos, the only walled Mayan ruin located in front of the Caribbean Sea. Chichén Itzá is a larger Mayan ruin located inland, about a 2-3 hr drive from Puerto Morelos. It is the largest Mayan Ruin on the Yucatan peninsula.
- Cenotes - "Cenotes" are freshwater sinkholes of sweet, crystalline water that are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and even diving, they are truly a whole different world to explore.
- Reefs - The coral reef in Puerto Morelos is a natural reserve or Reef National Park. This reef is the second largest coral reef in the world, where you can expect transparent waters and extensive marine life bordered by white 'talcum powder' sandy beaches. Ideal for diving, snorkeling or swimming and since the beach is protected by the reef, it's waters are calm and very safe.
- Jungle - Just south of Tulum is the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve which is the largest protected area in the Mexican Caribbean (approx. 1.3 million acres) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, unique for its geography, wetlands and 23 known archeological sites. The area has 103 known mammal and 336 known bird species, and is also an important nesting site for two endangered sea turtle species. This area is perfect for kayaking, fishing or even ecological tours.
